Apple Cranberry Granola
The Tarts know there's nothing like a delicious snack to boost your energy and keep you going when life gets busy. One of their favourites is "Apple Cranberry Granola", both unbelievably tasty and easy to tote around, even to the gym!
From Ottawa's The Red Apron ("sophisticated comfort food"), this granola was listed two years in a row by Ottawa Magazine as one of Ottawa’s 100 top tastes, and was ranked Ottawa’s Best Granola (again, by Ottawa Magazine).
Justine's Apple Cranberry Granola
Dry Ingredients:
10 cups rolled oats
1.5 tablespoons cinnamon
1 tablespoon sea salt
Heat 1/2 cup of apple cider, 1/2 cup olive oil and 1 1/4 cup of honey together until well combined.
In a large bowl, mix the dry ingredients well and add the apple cider and honey mixture and stir until well incorporated. Bake on a baking sheet at 300 degrees, stirring every 10 minutes until golden. This should take approximately 30 minutes. Cool and add 1 1/2 cups of dried cranberries. When cool, store in an airtight container and keep it in a cool, dark place. The granola should keep fresh for a few months!
There was a typo in the recipe, in that it omitted the 1/2 cup of olive oil from the liquid mixture. Sorry if you tried the recipe and it failed. We are triple testing everything now!
Hi loved the video and the recipe looks great. Would it be possible to add some nutrional information to the recipes?
That's a great idea! We will see what we can do.
